NHH Hotels & Resorts Announces Completion of $8 Million Renovation at Embassy Suites Pittsburgh-International

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – (September 29, 2009) – NHH Hotels & Resorts, a third party, property-level management company, announces the completion of a one-year, $8 million renovation of Embassy Suites Pittsburgh-International Hotel, the only hotel at Pittsburgh-International Airport featuring two-room suites as a standard.

All 223 suites at Embassy Suites Pittsburgh-International Hotel were entirely redesigned and refurbished. Contemporary, sophisticated guestrooms feature new carpeting, wall coverings and furniture in warm espresso, kiwi and saffron earth tones. Guest bath areas present a spa-like environment with brand new marble showers and completely renovated finishes. The suite layout, which also features new lighting, speakerphones and two 32-inch flat screen TVs, serves as a both a tranquil abode and a business office.

“The transformation of the guestrooms at Embassy Suites Pittsburgh is incredible and has exceeded expectations. The property could very well be a candidate for one of the best hotel renovations of the year,” said Catanzaro.

The renovations also included a new fitness center featuring brand new Precor® equipment, upgraded meeting/function space, upgrades to pool, addition of gift shop, and Café Zest restaurant and lounge. Café Zest is a brand new restaurant concept developed by NHH Hotels & Resorts for use in company-managed, branded hotels. The menu at Café Zest features accessibly priced, New American cuisine, with an emphasis on functional, organic ingredients.

MONOLITH COMPLETES RENOVATION OF DOUBLETREE IN ROSWELL, GA AND EMBASSY SUITES IN PITTSBURGH, PA

Monolith recently completed the renovation of the DoubleTree in Roswell, GA as well as the Embassy Suites in Pittsburgh, PA.  Monolith partnered with interior design firm Design Directions to renovate all of the public areas including the bar, lounge, registration, fitness center, business center, lobby, prefunction, and ballrooms.  In Pittsburgh, Monolith partnered with Chase Collaborative to renovate all of the guestrooms and lobby.  Monolith is a Hilton Preferred Vendor for renovation services and understands the brand standards and quality Hilton expects.

Holiday Inn World Congress Center – Atlanta, GA Receives 2009 IHG Overall Design/Renovation of Year

Monolith Hospitality Completes Renovation of Springhill Suites – Seattle, WA

Monolith Hospitality recently completed the lobby renovation of the Springhill Suites in downtown Seattle.  In order to bring the hotel more walk-in business and create a better experience for customers, Monolith Hospitality was hired as the Interior Designer, FFE Purchasing Agent, and Renovation General Contractor to reinvent this property.  Based on Marriott’s new Springhill Suites prototype scheme, Monolith customized the design for a renovation, and brought in some “Seattle Flare” to the property.  With all new finishes, millwork, granite tops, high-end focal points, and FFE, the lobby is truly stunning.

Next up in the process is the guestrooms, which will be getting a complete overhaul by Monolith Hospitality.

Marriott Residence Inn Perimeter Center in Atlanta, GA

Monolith Hospitality recently completed the renovation of the Marriott Residence Inn Perimeter Center in Atlanta, GA. Being a Generation 1 property, the project required extensive exterior and interior upgrades including new exterior siding, roof, paint, stairs, landscaping and an interior “Gatehouse” overhaul including new finishes, millwork, granite, and layout.

The project was recognized by Marriott as one of the best renovations in the region. Monolith acted as the General Contractor, FFE Purchasing Agent, and Custom Millwork Manufacturer. By offering these turnkey services, Monolith Hospitality was able to offer the owner and Marriott vast cost savings and value.
